Research shows that Purple Tea has a free radical scavenging rate of 51% compared with 34.3% for green tea, making it rich in Antioxidants.

Purple tea grows in cooler elevations between 1,500 and 2,500 metres, exposing the leaves to intense sun rays, which helps the leaves to produce higher concentrations of anthocyanins and polyphenols than black or green tea.

The amino acid L-theanine helps to balance mood, and counteracts anxiety and jitters brought on by too much caffeine, and has shown to be helpful in improving stress levels, reducing fatigue, and promoting better sleep.
